WP: Japanese government investigating Lebanon radio explosion incident
The Japanese government intends to investigate the incident with exploding radios of the Japanese manufacturer Icom in Lebanon. This is reported writes The Washington Post newspaper.
“We are currently collecting information,” Japanese Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshimasa Hayashi told the publication.
Earlier, Icom reported that the radio stations that exploded in Lebanon were taken out of production more than 10 years ago. The production of batteries that power the main unit of the radios was stopped long ago, the manufacturer specified.
