Bandai Namco is in a time of bringing back old games from the era of Gamecube to our present day, that’s why we saw the return of Baten Kaitos and up to Tales of Symphoniaand with this in mind, it seems that they want to continue reviving projects that perhaps some were lost due to issues of time. On this occasion they are taking back Freedom Warswhich was originally released for PS Vitabut that the time has come to leave the platform Sony to move on to broader horizons.
The version was announced Remastered which will arrive on next-generation platforms on January 10, 2025. This cult title, set in a dystopian future, challenges players to survive, fighting for their freedom in a world where everyone born is sentenced to prison. The game will include significant improvements in resolution, textures and performance to adapt to current standards.
Freedom Wars Remastered will offer support for 4K resolution and 60 FPS in PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam, providing a smoother gaming experience. In addition to these graphical improvements, the title will include a revised weapon forging system, difficulty adjustments, and other optimizations that will improve gameplay without losing the essence of the original.

The game retains its signature combat gameplay, where players must enlist in dangerous operations to rescue citizens and fight rivals to reduce their sentence. Equipped with weapons ThornIn the game, players will be able to move fluidly in a three-dimensional environment, capturing enemies and obtaining vital resources for survival. Throughout the game, materials collected from defeated enemies will be used to upgrade weapons and increase the chances of success.
One of the key features is the cooperative mission system that supports up to four players, which will allow users to join forces in challenging combat missions. It also includes the customization of guardian androids that accompany players in their battles, making the world of Freedom Wars be more immersive than ever.
