The FIA World Endurance Championship resumes its journey in the 2024 season with the 6 Hours of Fuji scheduled for this weekend and at Cadillac Racing they are watching the Japanese stage with extreme attention and anticipation.
Last season’s edition of the Japanese race was the first on the track of the Land of the Rising Sun for the V-Series.R and, as even those directly involved admit, it did not go well at all, with the retirement in the race due to a broken wheel nut that sent the car into the wall before the end.
In addition to rather disappointing performances, the men from the General Motors brand also brought home a lot of useful information that served to begin a path of growth and improvements over the winter, today visible on the Dallara-chassisted LMDh in both the WEC and IMSA.
After the Top5 obtained at the Lone Star Le Mans on the Circuit of The Americas, Alex Lynn and Earl Bamber are therefore very hopeful of being able to be protagonists also in the Far East, convinced that they can fight for the top of the HYPERCAR Class.

“I think last year’s Fuji was the event where we learned the most. That’s the biggest thing we took from that race, we’ve been on a growth journey with the car since then,” admits the Briton.
“It was one of the toughest weekends, but we also learned a lot, and I can’t wait to go back and see the improvements we’ve made.”
Bamber added: “Fuji was a tough one for us last year and since then we’ve been really busy in the simulator trying to figure out where we went wrong. I think in this second year of the program we’re learning where our strengths and weaknesses are and we’re working to address those gaps.”
“I think we have improved our performance this year, in fact the car is always in the top five when the race goes well and we want to demonstrate our progress in these last two races.”
