Mockridge’s stint made headlines over the weekend after the Olympic track cycling champion Christina Vogel published a post on Instagram stories criticizing Mockridge’s statement. Vogel was seriously injured in a crash at the velodrome in June 2018 and was confined to a wheelchair.
