Recco – A wave of bad weather is expected in Liguria and the fireworks display in Recco, scheduled for the celebrations in honour of the city’s patron saint, Nostra Signora del Suffragio, is postponed from Sunday to Monday eveningstarting at 10.30pm.
«In agreement with the Districts and the Committee for the celebrations in honour of Our Lady of Suffrage, in consideration of the adverse weather conditions forecast for Recco tomorrow – says Mayor Carlo Gandolfo – we have decided to move the fireworks display to Monday, September 9th.”
The shows scheduled for this evening (Saturday 7 September), as well as the procession, already brought forward to today (Click here for the article), are instead confirmed. Tomorrow they will be regularly celebrated all the masses scheduled at the shrineo. The 3:30 a.m. mascoli party tomorrow, which usually precedes the 4:30 a.m. dawn mass, will not take place. Tomorrow, the food stands will be closed at noon, on orange alert, open in the evening, from 7:30 p.m., and then open again on Monday evening, on the occasion of the last fireworks displays, again from 7:30 p.m.
Today, at lunchtime, they took place the Mascoli outburst and the pyrotechnic display in the Verzemma district, which had been anticipated by tomorrow’s program.
