Fermo, 10 arrests for drug dealing and trafficking: men of Albanian, Moroccan and Algerian nationality
THE carabinieri of the Fermo Command (Marche) have arrested 10 people responsible for drug trafficking competitionThese are men of Albanian, Moroccan and Algerian nationality who were dealing cocaine and hashish in various areas of the Province. Their arrest occurred during a blitz by the Carabinieri carried out in the early hours of dawn today, Friday 30 August.
In addition to the officers of the Fermo Command, the territorially competent departments and specialized units of the Pesaro Urbino Dog Unit and the Pescara Helicopter Unit went into action, which executed the precautionary custody order.
Where the 10 arrested people were dealing drugs
The operation that led to the arrest of these 10 individuals was related to an investigation that began inwinter of 2022. It was intended to locate and destroy a criminal group who was dedicated to the dealing and trafficking of large quantities of cocaine. The buyers were residents of the area.
The areas where these drug dealers operated most were all along the coastal strip and in theFermo hinterlandin particular in the territories of the municipalities of Porto Sant’Elpidio, Sant’Elpidio a Mare, Monte Urano, Montegranaro, Torre San Patrizio, Monte San Pietrangeli as well as Civitanova Marche and Fermo (with greater insistence in the municipalities of Sant’Elpidio a Mare, Porto Sant’Elpidio, Fermo and Monte Urano).
The methods used by drug dealers
The drug was coming redistributed to different retail drug dealersmostly Albanians and Italians, who then had the task of selling it in their sales territory. Not only that, the dealers had a method to avoid being caught: they delivered on order and, often, with “home delivery service“, as reported Handle.
This investigation is in addition to that of the operation “Underground” that, in the March 2023had led to the arrest of eight of the 13 drug dealers investigated, all of whom were part of a criminal organization dedicated to drug dealing in the area. But even the most recent operation “Retail“, conducted July 2023which involved nine suspects, both Albanians and Italians, some of whom also had specific precedents
