Ciudad Juarez.- Everything is ready to welcome thousands of faithful devotees who will attend the Patron Saint Festivities of San Lorenzo both in the sanctuary and outside during this weekend.
During this Thursday, August 8, most of the merchants set up around the square to offer mainly food.
Here you can taste all kinds of “fritangas” from traditional corn gorditas with various stews, enchilas, huaraches, sopes, tacos, fresh waters and even natural fruit frappes.
The sanctuary looks empty, quiet, without the traditional matachines or their drums. Servers agree with merchants that the “strong” days or those with the greatest influx of people devoted to San Lorenzo will be today, Friday, and tomorrow, Saturday.
The security device is also maintained in the perimeter, both road elements protect the surrounding avenues and municipal elements carry out patrols.
A pilgrimage will take place on Friday night, starting at 8 p.m. from the park in the Alameda neighborhood in front of the Galgódromo and ending at the San Lorenzo sanctuary.
At 10 pm, the Holy Mass will be held presided over by the bishop of the diocese, José Guadalupe Torres Campos.
At midnight there will be a Midnight Mass and the rest of Saturday there will be mass every two hours starting at 8 in the morning and the last one at 8 at night.
