Mazatlán, Sin.- A 35-year-old man from Chihuahua died by drowning on the beaches of Mazatlán, specifically in the Golden Zone. The incident occurred when the young man and two other people faced difficulties in returning to dry land.
The Navy personnel, who were nearby, intervened to rescue the three bathers. Although they managed to save two of them, the young man, identified as Ramón Valerio, could not be rescued alive.
After the rescue, Valerio’s body was transferred to the facilities of the eighth naval region. The State Attorney General’s Office arrived at the scene to certify the death, and later, the body was handed over to his relatives.
