Mexico City.- Superstars Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are close to getting engaged, sources close to the player told Page Six.
The source said the Kansas City Chiefs tight end has a plan to take a knee and end speculation about his future with Swift, however, Kelce’s representative denied that there are any such official plans for an engagement.
According to Page Six, there is speculation that the couple may already be planning their wedding, as they reported that last Thursday, during a concert by singer Morgan Wallen in Kansas, the wife of a top executive of the Chiefs was overheard telling friends in a suite that Swift and Kelce, both 34, are already engaged. Although it is not known if it was a slip or she was simply echoing the rumors circulating on the Internet.
The same outlet reported in December that Kelce was on the hunt for the perfect ring and had even asked his girlfriend’s father, Scott, for permission before proposing.
“She’s asked Scott for his blessing and has given it wholeheartedly, and Travis has been talking to friends about a ring,” a source close to the NFL player told Page Six at the time.
More sources also claimed that the couple was planning to get engaged this summer. Swift is constantly traveling the world with her Eras Tour, starting in 2023; for his part, Kelce has been a constant support for the “August” singer and even accompanies her on stage.
Swift is currently in Europe but will take a short break later this month. Kelce has already returned to training with his team ahead of the NFL season starting soon.
“Taylor is going to be spending a lot of time in Kansas City,” sources close to the show revealed, until she goes on tour again in October and ends her successful tour on December 8 in Vancouver.
