Silverstone, a day of historic liveries
To honor the 75th anniversary of the World Championship, the MotoGP teams will take to the track this weekend with 11 special liveries. They could only do so at Silverstone, the temple of motorsport, with the aim of marrying the tradition of the past and the emotions of the present.
Among the most anticipated liveries is that of the Hondaa “fallen noble” that has written very important pages in the history of the MotoGP. The house of the golden wing will run the British Grand Prix by honoring the NS500, the bike that won Honda’s first 500 World Championship (a choice that follows that made by Yamaha with the YZR500). It was won, in 1983, by Freddie Spencer, who remained the youngest 500 world champion.

The LCR livery
At LCR, Johann Zarco’s RC213V is a revisit of the six-cylinder Honda that Mike Hailwood rode to the 250 title in 1966. In the other half of the garage, Takaaki Nakagami will wear colours that hark back to Japan.
