Nicolas Maduro and Edmundo Gonzalez have been cited This Thursday to appear before the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ) of Venezuela.
The president of the TSJ, Caryslia Rodríguez, responded to the request of the presumptive elected candidate, Nicolas Maduro, to hold a ““investigation and verification process” regarding the results of the Venezuelan presidential elections carried out last Sunday, July 28.
That is why at 2:00 p.m. (12:00 p.m. Central Mexico time) on Friday, August 2, Nicolás Maduro and Edmundo González must appear before the entity to participate in a election expertise presidential elections in which both were candidates.
The Supreme Court of Justice of Venezuela has also summoned Daniel Ceballos, Antonio Ecarri, Benjamin Rausseo, Enrique Marquez, Jose Brito, Javier Bertucci and Claudio Fermin, the rest of the candidates who also sought win the presidency of Venezuela.
It should be remembered that, following the past Venezuelan presidential elections, The National Electoral Council (CNE) of that country granted the victory to Nicolás Maduro just hours before the voting ended, who allegedly obtained 51% of the votes.
In response, opponents have posted a long series of ballots on a website intended to show that Edmundo González would have achieved close to 70% of the voteswhile denouncing electoral theft by Nicolás Maduro’s team.
