According to sources from The Verge, Xbox is considering delaying Avowed until sometime in 2025. Although the company never gave an exact release date, it promoted it as one of its heavyweights for 2024 in some showcases. Furthermore, some leaks already put it for November of this year.

According to the report, the reason has nothing to do with its development. In fact, they assure that it is on a very good path. Rather, they plan for it not to be released now due to the large offer of titles that will arrive on Game Pass in the remainder of the year. They want to give this game its proper time in the spotlight, as well as Black Ops 6 and Stalker 2 which come out in October and November respectively. Notably Stalker 2 was recently delayedso this must have made them reconsider their release schedule.
