Weapons, vehicles, explosives and other evidence seized in Pitiquito, Sonora

Federal and state security forcesin a tactical search action in a housing in Pitiquito, Sonorathey assured high caliber weaponsamong them one Barrett .50 caliberfour vehiclestwo of them with armor, narcotics, useful cartridges, handmade pomegranateschargers and other evidence.

The Attorney General’s Office of the State of Sonora (FGJES), with personnel from Forensic Services and elements of the Criminal Investigation Agencyin coordination with personnel from the Secretary of National Defense and the National Guardcarried out a search this Sunday, July 21, in a building in the San Diego neighborhood.

At the scene, a 2022 Jeep Wagoneer and a 2024 Toyota Tacoma pickup truck were seized, both reported stolen in the United States of America; in addition, a Jeep Cherokee and a Chevrolet Tahoe were located, both with agency armor.

Also collected:

• Six AK-47 rifles
• An AR-15 rifle
• A Barrett .50 caliber rifle
• Two homemade grenades with fuse
• A tactical vest with six magazines for an AK-47 weapon
• 45 packages with narcotic marijuana
• 7.62×39 caliber cartridges (number not specified)
• Two cell phones
• Other clues

All the seized material was placed at the disposal of a public prosecutor for the continuation of the corresponding investigations, it was reported.
