Former Chief of Staff José Dirceu said, in an interview with Free Channelfrom TV Bandeirantes, released this Sunday, 7, which does not see a mistake in articulation on the part of the government of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.
“I don’t see any mistake in the articulation, because forming a majority in a Chamber like this led to PP and PRB (current Republicans) becoming the government’s base,” said Dirceu.
The former Chief of Staff of Lula’s first government said that many parties began to identify as right-wing and with conservative values.
“Any issue today, whether it be education, health, exchange rate policy, tax policy, the parties have a position,” he stated, also supporting the discussion of political reform in Brazil.
Dirceu defended that Lula use communication through radio and TV broadcasts to speak directly to the population.
“I think the president needs to call a radio and TV network and explain what is happening in the country, that we are at this historic crossroads. If I know the president, he will do it. We spent 15 days discussing with the president of the Central Bank, which in essence was a discussion about interest rates and which ended up being personified by the president of the Central Bank. And then an adjustment (in the 2025 Budget) of R$27.5 billion is made (the one announced by Fernando Haddad was, in fact, R$25.9 billion in the 2025 Budget). We need to explain this to the population,” said the former minister.
