From 2014 to today, nine of the ten world titles awarded in F1 have been won by Lewis Hamilton or from Max Verstappen. 2024 doesn’t seem destined to change this trend, with the Dutchman now looking set to win his fourth consecutive title. Who would like to break this diarchy as soon as possible is Charles Leclercwho will be Hamilton’s teammate starting next year – with the advent of the English champion in Ferrari – and has been Verstappen’s rival since he was a boy.
The characteristics of the samples
This year Leclerc finally satisfied himself with winning – dominating – his home GP, in Monte Carlo. The real dream, however, is that of finally become world champion with Ferrari. To do this we will have to beat Hamilton and Verstappen and the best way to do this is to know the characteristics of the two champions. During an interview given to the newspaper The print red #16 talked about both, highlighting their respective strengths.
“Hamilton and Verstappen are both fast, obviously. For Lewis I would add calculator – explained Leclerc – on the track, I mean. In the way he moves, the way he positions the car when he defends or attacks, you understand all the experience and thought behind it. Max is aggressive. He’s more like: if there’s space I’ll just go there.”. And how does the Ferrari driver describe himself?: “I’m fast too. It’s intuitive: at certain moments I guide a lot with intuitionespecially in qualifying, is something that characterizes me”.
