A year later, Ferrari triumphed again at Le Mans. The Maranello team gives itself a historic and unexpected encore in the most important and famous endurance race in the world. Between #51 and #50 there is a handovergiven that this time the car driven by the Fuoco-Molina-Nielsen trio won.
The differentiated strategy was decisive – born from an emergency stop to fix a faulty door – which allowed the 499P to return to the pits one less time compared to all the other big ones. Toyota #7 was beaten after an eternal challengeforced to give up despite being the fastest car on the track in the final part of the race.
