Hours later it was leaked that the cement squad would tempt the Mexican player, Jesús ‘Canelo’ Angulo, from the Red Devils of Toluca FC, at the request of his coach.
Sources close to the Cruz Azul Club revealed the Machine’s interest in ‘Canelo’ Angulo, who would improve the deck of midfielders that Martín Anselmi has for the upcoming 2024-25 season.
Although the first contacts have already been made, Cruz Azul has not yet presented a formal offer for the scarlet, since there would be another player being evaluated for that position.
In the completed Clausura 2024 tournament, Jesús Angulo participated in 18 games, among which he scored three goals and provided an assist with the Diablos Rojos del Toluca FC.
‘Canelo’ has a legitimate contract until the summer of 2027. His transfer is valued at just over 2.5 million dollars according to the Transfermartk site.
