Newey and Ferrari
The fans’ wait continues Ferrari as far as possible I arrive in Maranello Adrian Newey, who recently bid farewell to Red Bull. The Formula 1 paddock is convinced that in the end the British designer will accept the court of the Prancing Horse, and even former driver Gerhard Berger believes that we will soon see the brilliant English engineer dressed in red.
“Newey is an absolute genius and wherever he goes, he succeeds. He has proven it over the last 25 years“, the Austrian explained to the Germans of Bild, adding: “At the moment it looks like Newey will end up at Ferrari and if that happens – and I assume it will – it could start a new era of success with Vasseur, Newey, Leclerc and Hamilton. I think this combination could be very difficult for opponents to beat.”
Berger-thought
Gerhard Berger then moved on to the current affairs of Formula 1, also talking about the farewell of Sainz to Ferrari: “It’s a real shame, I feel sorry for him because he’s practically on par with Leclerc. However, the Red team has opted for Hamilton and this should bring new dynamism to the team. Lewis will bring with him one or two important technicians that Ferrari needsincluding Newey,” and also about Audi’s debut: “They have the means and the advantage of collaborating with Sauber, but it will take at least five years to get to the top. Just think of the Ferrari of Schumacher, Todt, Brawn and Byrne.”
