Inside the new car incentive planthere is the Ecobonus-Retrofit that the Government has allocated for the transformation of cars with gas systems, LPG or methane. The contributions for the transformation of gas cars are equal to 400 euros for LPG systems And 800 euros for methane systems. These contributions are intended for natural persons who install gas fuel systems on vehicles category M1 approved at least Euro 4.
Date, how it works
This contribution will be recognized for the installations carried out from 25 May 2024 to 31 December 2024 and can be requested via a computer system. The state incentive is paid to installers (via tax credit) who install a brand new automotive gas fuel system on a category M1 vehicle approved in a class not less than Euro 4. The contribution is paid by the installer to the beneficiary through a discount on the price of the system and installation.
The tax credit will be usable by installers for compensation via the F24 model.
The installers from June 19, 2024 must be accredited on Ecobonus – Retrofit platform for requests for contributions on systems installed and transformations carried out.
The satisfaction of installers and motorists
“We are extremely satisfied – declares Spartaco Lombardelli founder of Punto Gas – of the news regarding the new state incentives for the installation of LPG/CNG systems and the conversion of cars to gas. This provision represents an important step forward for the promotion of cleaner and more economically advantageous energy solutions, in line with our country’s commitment to environmental sustainability. For our company Punto Gas, which for years has dedicated itself with passion and competence to the installation and distribution of LPG systems, this is an extraordinary opportunity but also for all owners of older cars who have the possibility of making them clean by benefiting from the advantages of LPG, both in terms of economic savings and reduction of polluting emissions. The installer sector is ready to respond professionally to this increased demand for transformations. We thank the Government for this important initiative and we are confident that together we will be able to build a greener and more sustainable future.”
