According to Steve Hemmerstoffer, better known as OnLeaks at X, suggest that both Samsung foldable phones will receive $100 price increases.
The Galaxy Z Flip 6 is rumored to bring some improvements, such as a new 50 MP main sensor and a larger capacity battery. The Fold 6 will have three versions: 256GB, 512GB and 1TB, the same as last year’s model. While the Z Flip 6 will only have 256 GB and 512 GB versions.
These would be the prices of the phones:
- Galaxy Z Flip6 256GB: $1,099.99
- Galaxy Z Flip6 512 GB: $1,219.99
- Galaxy Z Fold6 (256GB): $1,899.99
- Galaxy Z Fold6 (512GB): $2,019.99
- Galaxy Z Fold6 (1TB): $2,259.99
As you can see, the price is too high for a device that fails to have important changes in its design or interior. Of course they will be the first Samsung phones with Galaxy AI out-of-the-box and will have Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
Likewise, it is said that they will have a larger 4,000 mAh battery and the screen could be a little larger, in the case of the Z Flip 6 it would be 3.9 inches, so it exceeds the 3.4 inches of the previous version and would be the clamshell with the largest screen. The screen would have Corning Gorilla Armor.
On the other hand, it is said that the cameras will be exactly the same as those of the Fold 5 and Fold 4, that is, a 12 MP sensor and a 50 MP main camera. Likewise, it will not have support for Wi-Fi 7 protocols like other Galaxy or Chinese ones.
