Chihuahua.- Although the Faculties of the UACh in this city, as well as the Technological Institute of Delicias, have offered new study alternatives, the typical careers such as Public Accountant, Agricultural Phytotechnical Engineer and Industrial Engineer, continue to be the ones that most university students graduate, while in private institutions, Law and Nursing are the most requested.
In talks with directors of these higher education institutions, it was learned in the Faculty of Agricultural and Forestry Sciences, through its director, Alberto Sánchez Bernal, that 75% of the graduates emerge as phytotechnical agronomist engineers and the rest in forestry specialties. and Agribusiness Administration
The director commented that they are currently in the authorization process to be taught: Engineering in Sustainable Management, Irrigation and Agroindustrial.
In the Faculty of Accounting and Administration, there is still a lot of demand for Public Accounting and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, with the first being the most favored, from which 60% and 40% of LAE graduate.
At the Technological Institute of Delicias, as a campus of the National Institute of Mexico, classes are taught for five engineering fields, with Industrial Engineering and Electromechanical Engineering being the most requested.
Recently, Civil Engineering was opened, which has been well received, receiving young people from various parts of the region.
