Apple has announced that its innovative headset for spatial computing, the Apple Vision Pro, currently only available in the United States, will be launched in additional countries in Europe, Asia and North America, but for the moment not in Italy, where it could arrive by the end of the year or even in 2025. “The enthusiasm for Apple Vision Pro has been extraordinary, and we are excited to introduce the magic of spatial computing to more customers around the world,” said Tim Cook, CEO of Apple. After initial enthusiasm in the US, sales have slowed, a combination of the high price and lack of content specifically developed for the device. Introducing Vision Pro internationally will not only expand the customer base, but also the number of developers capable of creating new experiences for the headset.
Apple Vision Pro will launch in China, Japan and Singapore on June 28, with pre-orders starting on June 13. In Australia, Canada, France, Germany and the United Kingdom, the headset will be available on July 12 with pre-orders available from June 28. In the European countries where it will be launched, the price for the basic 256GB model (without prescription lenses, necessary if you wear glasses) is 3,999 euros, but you can reach 4,500 by going up to 1TB of hard disk. Prices are in line with the States, where they start from 3,499 dollars without taxes but can easily reach 4,000 once the latter and other accessories have been added. For those who are interested in the device but don’t want to spend that much, you can schedule a free 30-minute demo at any Apple Store via the Apple Store app.
