Profeco exposes the WORST QUALITY cabin suitcases for these summer holidays

Choosing a good suitcase for your trip is very important as it will save you time and reduce worries during your trip. Therefore, for these Summer Vacation, the Profeco exposed the cabin suitcases of best and worst quality.

In hima Consumer Magazine, the Federal Consumer Protection Agency (Profeco) released a study carried out on 12 suitcases to determine which were the most recommended for travel.

It should be noted that the price is not always an indication that cabin suitcases for summer vacations are the best, since Profeco found that there are some with excellent characteristics and are much cheaper.

Summer holidays: Cabin suitcases that Profeco does not recommend

Profeco has identified four models of suitcases that did not pass the closure resistance test, qualifying only as “good”:

– Giacomo Rosaldi Paris (Graphite)

– Nautica A 12651 Black

-Landsender Titan LS-MT20BL

– Wilson SKU: WLS062-L G020D

Furthermore, the Giacomo Rosaldi Paris (Grafito), although it offers a guarantee, does not comply with article 78 of the Federal Consumer Protection Law (LFPC), since it does not specify how to make it effective, leaving consumers without clarity on how to proceed in case of a claim.

On the other hand, Profeco pointed out that price is not always an indication of superior quality in cabin suitcases for Summer Vacation.

For example, the Kenneth Cole (New York) suitcase, rated “excellent,” is priced at $2,507, while the American Tourister, rated “very good,” is priced at $4,437.

The best suitcases for summer vacations according to Profeco

The suitcases that obtained the “excellent” rating in the Global Quality Assessment test were:

– Kenneth Cole (New York) KNT-00025

– Samsonite Octolite Spinner Black

It is important to mention that none of the suitcases analyzed are completely airtight, since all of them presented minor water leaks during the rain test, which could cause their contents to become wet.
