Steel Seed returned to show itself during the Xbox Games Showcase 2024 with a new trailer which mixes classical piano music, intense action and science fiction visions of a distant future in a particular way.
The game is developed by the Italian team Storm in a Teacup, already known for various titles such as NERO: Nothing Ever Remains Obscure and Close to the Sun, which in this case has ventured into a sort of action stealth adventure in development for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, still without an official release date.
Characterized by a setting that recalls cyberpunk but with a rather particular style, the game tells of a humanity that is now decimated.
A production of great depth
In the video we see the protagonist Zoe, accompanied by her sleeping inseparable KOBYexplore the setting and take part in some combat.
The scenarios are made up of gigantic complexes of a sort of future city now in the hands of technology.
In this world, the few remaining humans find themselves having to survive beneath the surface of the planet, grappling with various dangers that threaten even the last bastions of humanity left standing.
Steel Seed represents the most challenging project of Storm in a Teacup, according to the developers themselves, as the most “complete” project: it is a game based on a stealth and a combat system, as well as having a deep and exciting story.
