MURATALLA EXHORTS TO REPORT THE TRUTH. Monsignor José Luis Muratalla said that journalism is a risky profession and prayed that those who practice it listen to their vocation and mission to obtain the truth and know how to stay away from temptations. During the sermon of the mass that he officiated for thanksgiving at the request of the Association of Journalists of Northern Sinaloa “Aarón Flores Heredia”, the priest maintained that the practice of journalism is seen in biblical passages, when the prophets proclaimed the Good News , all in search of the truth.
THEY KILLED PACO STANLEY. Mexico City Francisco Stanley died the victim of an attack in which he received four of 24 .40 caliber bullets, fired by at least four hitmen who surprised him outside a restaurant in Periférico Sur. The murderers managed to escape after the murder, but the police already have a spoken portrait of one of them. The television host’s Lincoln Navigator truck was leaving the parking lot of the El Charco de las Ranas restaurant when he was shot. In the fray, the 56-year-old comedian and Jesús Núñez, a diner who, by chance, was in the place, lost their lives. Journalist Jorge Gil, a passerby, as well as Núñez’s wife were injured. The devastating spectacle of the pierced car remained at the crime scene for more than two hours, during which time dozens of preventive and judicial police, photographers, cameramen, reporters, officials and security personnel from a television company gathered. as well as curious people who, embarrassed, took on the task of making all kinds of speculations. The DF Attorney General, Samuel del Villar, would establish what the emotion of the first moments prevented him from noticing: the way in which the events developed was unrelated to a possible attempted robbery or a kidnapping. It was an attack. From inside the restaurant, Stanley’s inseparable companion, Mario Bezares, said that the waiters told him to hide, that he should not leave there.
