According to global Xbox Goals data, they really are few console players have finished Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2, Ninja Theory’s latest effort. This is despite it being a short and intense game, taking around six or seven hours to complete.
According to data collected by TrueAchievements, almost 90% of Xbox players abandoned Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 before the end. Attention, because from here on we will give small previews about the game. If you don’t want to have them, read no further.
Some listless tests
Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 does not have many objectives to unlock and the final one, called “End the tyranny”, is unique for everyone and is unlocked exactly at the end of the experience. According to Xbox global data, only 13.56% of players have unlocked it. So the remaining 86.44% would not have made it or would have abandoned the game.
Interestingly, if we consider the more dedicated TrueAchievements community, the percentage rises to 34%, while if you look at the data on Steam, you go even further reaching 37%.
So why is the value so low on Xbox? Probably because of Game Pass. Many will have installed and started Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 just because it is part of the subscription and will have abandoned it after a quick try, because they are not very motivated to continue it. In short, they must have given him just one look. This is also clear from the completion rate of other objectives, in particular “The Next Sign”, which is unlocked after defeating the first boss, i.e. after about thirty minutes of play: on Xbox it is 52%, while on Steam it is at 84.2%.
It must also be said that players often don’t play the titles they purchase, given that the average completion percentages of the most advertised works are very low, regardless of difficulty or duration.
