Claudia Sheinbaum Pardothe winning candidate in the presidential election, has held key conversations with representatives of important international organizations, reaffirming her commitment to maintaining and strengthening collaboration during her next administration.
In a series of calls with World Bank, International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), Sheinbaum made it clear that Mexico will continue to work closely with these institutions.
Claudia Sheinbaum reported through her social networks about her conversation with the president of the World Bank, Ajay Banga, where crucial issues such as sustainable development, the environment and the fight against climate change were addressed.
“I received the call from the president of the World Bank, Ajay Banga, We talk about the importance of working on sustainable development, the environment, against climate change, and develop some projects on the subject. He expressed his interest in having a team from the World Bank come to exchange ideas with our transition team,” Sheinbaum wrote.
Continuity in the Cabinet
In another significant conversation, Claudia Sheinbaum spoke with the IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgievawhere he confirmed the first appointment of his cabinet: Rogelio Ramírez de la O, who will remain as Secretary of Finance and Public Credit (SHCP) for an indefinite period.
“We will continue to collaborate with this financial organization“added Sheinbaum, underlining the importance of stability and continuity in Mexico’s international financial relations.
Sheinbaum also expressed her gratitude to OECD Secretary General Mathias Cormann, who called to congratulate her on her electoral victory.
In response, the elected candidate reiterated that Mexico will continue to be an active and collaborative member of the OECD.

International Congratulations
In addition to conversations with the leaders of important international organizations, Claudia Sheinbaum received congratulatory calls from the President of Germany, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, and the Prime Minister of the Netherlands, Mark Rutte.
Both leaders expressed their best wishes and guaranteed the continuity of the collaborative work between their nations and Mexico.
