Sullivan: Biden may meet Zelensky twice during trip to Europe
The head of the United States, Joe Biden, may meet with Vladimir Zelensky twice during his trip to Europe. Politicians can see each other twice in France at events in honor of the 80th anniversary of the Normandy landings and at the G7 summit in Italy, clarified National security advisor to the American leader Jake Sullivan.
“In just over a week, the president will have two significant interactions with President Zelensky,” he noted during the briefing.
Sullivan clarified that Zelensky and Biden will be present in France, as well as on June 13-14 in Italy at the G7 summit.
At the same time, it previously became known that Joe Biden would not be able to attend the peace conference on Ukraine in Switzerland due to a fundraising event for his election campaign.
Earlier, State Duma deputy Alexander Tolmachev said that Vladimir Zelensky and the citizens of Ukraine are a bargaining chip for the United States. He recalled that the United States actively involved Ukraine in the North Atlantic Alliance, which led to hostilities.
