He National Electoral Institute (INE) concluded the Preliminary Election Results Program (PREP) corresponding to the Federal Electoral Process (PEF) 2023-2024, achieving significant progress in the capture and publication of 160,517 scrutiny and counting records.
This progress represents 95.23 percent of the 170,648 boxes approved for this process, accurately reflecting the figures obtained from the Quick Counts held on the night of June 2nd.
He closure of PREP confirmed a citizen participation of 60.92 percent, very close to the range announced in the Quick Counts, which estimated a participation between 60 and 61.5 percent.
The closing ceremony of the PREP took place in the Data Center of the Technical Unit of Information Technology Services (UTSI), where the last publication of the preliminary results was made after 24 uninterrupted hours of work.
During this period, the capture, review, collation and verification of the scrutiny and counting records were carried out.
The Federal PREP achieved coverage of 95.23 percent in the presidential election, 94.60 percent in the senatorial elections and 94.21 percent in the deputations. These results were available to citizens and the media through the digital portal prep2024.ine.mx/publicacion/nacional/landing.
In addition, more than 70 disseminators authorized by the INE offered access to this data on their respective platforms.
The INE pointed out that it is relevant to highlight that the PREP operated without incident from the closing of the polling stations to the filling out of each scrutiny and counting record.
However, the program does not replace the official district counts, which will begin on Wednesday, June 5 at 8:00 a.m. During these counts, all tally and count records will be reviewed to confirm the final results.
