The streets of the historic center of Mazatlán will be filled with joy on Music Day

Next Saturday, June 8, the streets of the historic center will be filled with joy with the Music Day Festival, an event that for more than 10 years has sought to generate public spaces for healthy social coexistence, without losing sight of the objective original to promote the beauty and architectural and historical value of what can be considered the oldest tourist area of ​​Mazatlán.

The stages
The details of this party, which brings together dozens of families, were announced by the director of the Institute of Culture, Raúl Rico; the teacher Juan Pablo García, Abril Márquez, artistic director of the Institute of Culture; Sergio Freeman, director of the Camerata Mazatlán, and Javier Arcadia, director of the Cultura folkloric ballet.
Raúl Rico specified that in this edition there will be four scenarios. The main one will be located in the Machado square, where Anime Espectacular, the Guillermo Sarabia choir, the Camerata Mazatlán will be participating, accompanied by the folkloric ballet of Cultura and Radaid. This last group is originally from Guadalajara.

Sergio Freeman explained that the show that the Camerata will offer includes popular and festive music, among them, the mambos of Pérez Prado, danzón Nereidas and Huapango, of Moncayo. The second scenario is that of memory. Starting at 7:00 p.m., the singer Óscar Gómez, accompanied by Voces y Guitarra, will present the show Tribute to the supergruperos. Los Cryps and José Narváez will also perform.

Raúl Rico added that the third stage will be located in Olas Altas, on Constitución and Mariano Escobedo streets, with the participation of Marimbatlán, the La Maz Hot band and the Maz Show group. And finally, he talked about the Rock & Fusion stage, dedicated to rock and alternative music, which will be located in front of the El Venadito Monument.

It was also announced that the Music Day Festival will be broadcast on Cultura TV. In addition, in this edition the Photography and Video Contest will also be held. He invited attendees to send the best images and videos captured during this party.
The 25 best images and the five best videos will be chosen, which will later be exhibited in an exhibition and screening. The bases for those who wish to participate will be on the social networks of the Institute of Culture.
