Mitsubishi is serious about range electrification. A gradual electrification, but which within a few years will lead the company to boast a line-up full of fully electric models. Five years to be precise: Mitsubishi has in fact revealed its new five-year plan that will see it from 2026 to 2030 launch a new or completely renewed electrified or electric model every year.
Mitsubishi five-year plan
The name of the Japanese brand’s project is “Mitsubishi Motors Momentum 2030”, and it can count on three cornerstones: electrification, a growing vehicle range and an expanded sales network. The launch of new models will not only concern fully electric cars: Mitsubishi is also thinking of hybrid and plug-in hybrid cars. Furthermore, the Japanese car manufacturer plans to launch two new models on the market which will arrive in segments in which the brand does not currently compete.
Electric protagonist
The four key points that will lead Mitsubishi to the completion of its five-year plan have been well defined by the company itself: first of all, a path towards electrification will be created, then the range of vehicles in North America will be refreshed and expanded, subsequently the sales model will be modernized, and finally the showroom network will also be expanded. Four steps, one goal: to become a builder leader in the electrified segment by the end of the decade.
