In a brief exchange captured remotely by the cameras of the BFMTV channel during Macron’s visit to the Clairefontaine facilities, about forty kilometers from Paris, Mbappé answers with “this afternoon” to a question from the head of state about whether he is today when his long-awaited signing for Real Madrid is announced.

The president arrived after noon at Clairefontaine to have lunch with the national team on the eve of the friendly match with Luxembourg that will be played on Wednesday in Metz (northeast France) in preparation for the Euro Cup.
