RIA Novosti: in 2023, the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug became the leader in family welfare in Russia
The Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug (Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug) at the end of 2023 topped the ranking in terms of the level of family well-being in the regions of Russia. This is reported by RIA News.
According to the agency’s calculations, in Yamal, after minimal expenses, a family with two children will have more than 140 thousand rubles left. Moscow took second place in terms of family well-being in the country, where the balance after minimal expenses amounted to about 100 thousand rubles. In third place is Yugra, followed by the Sakhalin region, St. Petersburg and the Magadan region.
The outsider regions in the ranking of family well-being were Kabardino-Balkaria, where after minimal expenses the potential balance is negative – minus 1,732 rubles, as well as Ingushetia with a positive balance of 2,662 rubles, Chechnya (4,786 rubles) and Dagestan (10,077 rubles).
The rating did not include new regions of Russia – the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics (DPR and LPR), as well as the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions.
Rosstat previously reported that in February 2024, the average salary of 150 thousand rubles was recorded in two regions of Russia – Chukotka and the Magadan region. According to the statistical service, in February in Chukotka Russians earned an average of 162.5 thousand rubles, in the Magadan region – 150.4 thousand rubles.
