The digital school, one of Mohammed bin Rashid’s global initiatives, launched a new phase of partnership with the Ministry of Education in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, by transforming the Emirati-Jordanian camp school for Syrian refugees in the Muraijib Al-Fhud area, into an integrated digital school, for all educational levels from the first basic grade to the 12th grade.
The Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, the Digital Economy and Remote Work Applications, Omar Sultan Al Olama, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Digital School, participated in a video speech at the event of launching the new phase, in which he stressed that the launch of the second phase of the Digital School in the Emirati-Jordanian camp to transform it into an integrated digital school represents a new milestone. For the fruitful cooperation between the UAE and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and a new success story for a humanitarian educational project that reflects the visions of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, may God protect him, by providing educational opportunities for the less fortunate students in the world and providing a modern educational experience. And special for the siblings of Syrian refugees. The Secretary-General of the Digital School, Dr. Walid Al Ali, said that the inauguration of the new phase of the Digital School in the Emirati-Jordanian camp for Syrian refugees represents an important step in the school’s work to develop and implement new educational programs and expand existing programs, through which it contributes to providing digital education to more people. From 160,000 beneficiaries in 14 countries in five different languages, to expand the circle of beneficiaries of its programs to reach one million students.
He added that the joint Emirati-Jordanian efforts will contribute to building a better future for more than 2,500 students in the camp.
Deputy Secretary-General of the Emirates Red Crescent Authority, Hamoud Al-Junaibi, confirmed that the completion of the second phase of the digital school in the Emirati-Jordanian camp for Syrian refugees confirms the coordination and constructive cooperation between the Emirates Red Crescent, the digital school, and the Jordanian Ministry of Education.
Al-Junaibi said that the digital school initiative has brought about a qualitative shift globally in the level of educational services provided to students, in countries facing challenges in their educational journey, as the digital school’s educational services have reached 14 countries around the world. The Secretary-General for Educational and Technical Affairs at the Ministry of Education in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Dr. Nawaf Al-Ajarmah said that the digital school came as an educational model that provides education and learning within a structure that suits the visions of the future, relying on technology and the digitization of education. He said that the partnership with the United Arab Emirates was based on an extended historical depth between two wise leaderships seeking the advancement and renaissance of their peoples, expressing his thanks to the partners and supporters, and his aspiration for more partnerships that advance educational services in Jordan.
