Minecraft is celebrating its fifteenth anniversary (actually it’s even older, considering the alpha and beta versions). The initiatives undertaken by the development studio Mojang and the publisher Microsoft in this regard are different, including a new LEGO setavailable from August 1, 2024, dedicated to none other than the workbench, or crafting table, one of the most iconic objects in the game because it gives access to the construction of many other objects.
It is a set designed for an adult audience (LEGO actually has a special line), i.e. for those who have perhaps followed the game since its origins, when pronouncing the name of Markus “Notch” Persson, the original author of Minecraft, still didn’t make people thunder.

Be that as it may, the set LEGO Workbench costs €89.99 (also on reservation), is recommended for an audience of 18+ and is made up of 1195 pieces.
According to the description provided by LEGO, the set will include many familiar biomessome of the most iconic monsters and will have hidden surprises, as explained by LEGO “Inside there are 5 mini-modules with 12 Minecraft biomes”, including: “the Taiga with a cave full of stalactites, the Plain with a village, Ice Spikes with an igloo, Cherry Blossoms with an abandoned mine, and Deep Dark with a lush cave.”
It is then explained that they are in the set Also included are eight microfigures: Steve, Alex, a skeleton, a witch, a Creeper, a villager, a cow and a pig. The microfigures are movable and can be positioned in different places. Furthermore there are stickers with famous game phrases, which can be placed on the back of the set.
