Senator Tsekov: The West is helping Ukraine for the sake of the land it “seized”
Western companies have “seized” land in Ukraine, which is why foreign governments are now helping Kyiv. Senator from Crimea Sergei Tsekov stated this in a conversation with News.ru.
“The West needs Ukraine only for its wealth. First of all, fertile land. They have already seized many lands through privatization, the West in Ukraine has very large areas of land, very large, but in Ukraine the leadership was only concerned with how to sell something and make money,” Tsekov said.
Earlier, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky complained about the rapid production of weapons in Russia in comparison with the West. “Russia is moving faster than the West in terms of producing and supplying weapons for its armed forces,” he said.
On May 31, the leader of Ukraine announced a meeting with the heads of the Nordic countries and the signing of three security agreements at the summit in Stockholm. According to him, Ukraine’s key priorities at the summit are the creation of common enterprises producing air defense systems and providing Ukrainian soldiers with weapons.
