Every day we constantly use different electronic devices, whether it is a mobile phone or a tablet or a computer, and you too will be always surrounded by screens. Precisely for this reason, the younger generations in particular are having a sort of rejection towards all these objects and are making the so-called Dumb Phones.

Even though there is constant use of smartphones, it seems that the 32% of Zillennials want to be able to disconnect from their cell phone at least when they are away from home. 22% of respondents said they are leaving their cell phone at home. The number of initiatives that promote a. is therefore increasing digital detox and this is where Dumb Phones would come into play.
It deals with the exact opposite of smartphones, cell phones that are still produced today and which are only capable of carrying out some basic operations, such as calling, sending text messages and in some cases even having simple applications, such as Whatsapp or maps. Beyond that, however, i Dumb Phones they have no other functions and for this very reason they seem to be the best way to start moving away from the online world.
In practice, it is as if today’s young people wanted to return to the times of those who grew up without or almost without cell phones, so as to be able to find a greater contact with reality. In fact, if you think about the fiction that is found every day on social media, how difficult it is to build a relationship online and everything that cannot be physically achieved, it is understandable that many young people are therefore interested in rediscover the real world.
Furthermore, a significant value that can be attributed to these mobile phones is precisely the fact that they help reactivate your brain, who very often remains numbed by all the conveniences given by smartphones – just think that once upon a time you knew most of the mobile numbers of your family and friends by heart, while today they are all stored in the address book. This is therefore an interesting initiative.
