Santiago Valley, Guanajuato.- Francisco Javier Galván Camargosecretary general of Union of Municipal Employees and Public Works of the Municipality of Valle de Santiagowas “gotten up” by armed men early this Thursday morning, tortured and then murdered.

It is detailed that shortly before 3:50 a.m. this Thursday, authorities received reports that several armed men arrived at a house in the El Tiezmo communityand they subdued and took away a man.
Minutes later, there were reports that a person was lying in the Jaral-Cortázar state highwayleaving for the municipality of Cortázar, adds the Correo newspaper.
Public Security elements went to the aforementioned road, where they confirmed that a man was lying there, with blows to his face and body, and with gunshot wounds, so they requested paramedic support.
When Civil Protection personnel arrived, they immediately helped him, stabilized him and transferred him to a hospital in the city of Celaya.
Other municipal agents went to El Diezmo to check the report of the “lifter”, and found out that the person affected was Francisco Javier Galván Camargo, deputy general secretary of the FROC-CTM Salamanca-Valle de Santiago, in Valle de Santiago, in addition to being coordinator in the municipal directorate of Education and Civic Development in the municipality of Valle de Santiago.
When the relatives learned that help had been given to a man shot on the Jaral-Cortázar highway, they went to the hospital and confirmed that it was Francisco Javier.
Hours later it was reported that Francisco Javier died in the hospital where he was being treated.
