Sonora.- The Attorney General’s Office of the State of Sonora (FGJES) achieved the link to process and the imposition of preventive prison against Ramon Humberto “N”by the alleged commission of the crime of animal abuse or cruelty to the detriment of canine “Pancho”a French poodle. The event occurred in Sonoyta, municipality of General Plutarco Elías Calles.
On May 22, Marie Antoinette, mother of the accused, denounced his son before the Municipal police. He pointed out that Ramón Humberto “N” brutally attacked “Pancho” at the entrance of a house located on Álvaro Obregón Final street with Ruiz Cortines alley, next to a tire shop. The complainant explained that the accused he slammed the dog to the ground and a tub of waterin addition to hit him repeatedlyeven inside the home.

On May 24, the hearing was held before the Judgewho determined the connection to the process of Ramón Humberto “N” and ordered the justified preventive detention. Likewise, a period of two months was established for the closure of the investigation, both for the FGJES and for the defense of the accused.
