Remedy has changed its name to Poison Pill Entertainment on social media: a joking operation but with rather clear implications, which in all likelihood acts as a clue regarding the now imminent announcement of the first expansion of Alan Wake 2.
In fact, if “Remedy” literally means “remedy”, “Poison Pill” means “poison pill”, therefore the exact opposite. Considering that under the company logo we find the writing “From 1985 to Night Springs City”, the references to the alternative reality of the fictional show of the same name are evident.
What Remedy wants to tell us is that the official announcement of the first expansion of Alan Wake 2, entitled Night Springs, is now imminent? Everything points in this direction, and we will soon discover the truth.
Finally the expansions!
It’s no secret that Remedy Entertainment is working on two Alan Wake 2 expansions arriving this year, with the first It’s actually called Night Springs and which should make its debut between spring and summer.
According to what has already been revealed by the development team, the first expansion will be structured as a sort of television series in which we will be able to play different characters and take part in “The Twilight Zone” style storieswhich will continue the bizarre narrative already experimented in the campaign.
When will we witness the official presentation of the package? Maybe already tomorrow night, during the State of Play announced today, which will be broadcast starting at 11.59pm Italian time and will revolve around the games arriving on PS5, both first party and third party.
