We are in a very striking time for the release of films that adapt a video game, we have seen this recently with some productions that have been box office hits such as Super Mario Bros. The Movie, Sonic 1 and 2, Uncharted, among others that brought together millions of people in movie theaters. With that in mind, Capcom continues making its attempt to bring its sagas to the seventh art, and now it is time for the return of Street Fighter after many years in absence.
Recently, a journalist took a trip to Las Vegas Licensing Expo an event where brands come together to sell their upcoming projects and partner with all kinds of products, and Legendary Entertainment presented the first official logo of the fighting saga movie, this is the classic that has been established since the second Super Nintendo game and the arcades, so at least that element will be respected.
Here you can see it:
Among the interesting facts is that the film will be directed by Danny and Michael Philippou. Who rose to fame after causing a sensation with their debut in Talk to Me. When the directors spoke about it, they celebrated the fact that they were involved in the project and stated that they were excited to reinstate the franchise on film. They mention that they are fully aware that they have the opportunity to create something that no one has seen before.
Here is a description of the saga:
Street Fighter is a popular fighting video game series developed and published by the Japanese company Capcom. The first game in the series was released in 1987, and the franchise has grown to become one of the most iconic and successful of the fighting game genre.
It has had a significant impact on gaming culture, influencing the development of numerous other fighting games and helping to popularize competitive gaming tournaments, known as esports. The series has spawned multiple sequels, spin-offs, film adaptations, animated series, comics, and a large number of merchandising products.
For now there is no confirmed date for the premiere, so we will have to keep an eye on film festivals.

Author’s note: It will be good to see a new adaptation of the saga, but with the effects that exist today. I hope they don’t ruin it like they did with Monster Hunter.
