Quite a few years have passed since the last video game in the franchise was released. Nierand we must discard Replicantbecause at the end of the day it was just a remaster that came for people who started in the saga with Automaton. With this in mind, there has been talk in recent days of news, which would involve that the next futuristic style game with fights between small and giant androids will return in less than we can imagine.
Through an interview with the magazine Famitsuthe producer of the franchise Yosuke Saitohas given clues that the next game in the series could already be in development, with the clear collaboration of two great figures of this saga, Yoko Taro and Keiichi Okabe. Mentioned that more announcements will arrive in the coming days, and hinting with a light laugh that it may be Nier or maybe it can’t be Nier.
Here are the statements:
I’ve been talking about wanting to do something with Yoko and Okabe for some time now.
I’ll have something more elaborate to say in the not-too-distant future, so stay tuned. It might be Nier, it might not be Nier. (Laughs.) That’s all I can say for now.
Here is a description of the saga:
The NieR saga is a series of action role-playing video games developed by the Japanese company Cavia and published by Square Enix. The saga is known for its deep and emotional narrative, its evocative music and its complex characters.
It stands out for its emotionally intense narrative, its complex characters and its evocative music. With roots in the Drakengard series, NieR has managed to create its own legacy within the action RPG genre, offering unique and deep experiences to its players.
For now the fate of this franchise is uncertain, so we have to wait for future announcements at Square Enix conferences or until the Summer Game Fest.

Author’s note: It will be good that the story of Nier continues with a new release, but I’m not sure if they should be unpublished characters or resume the popular one that 2B, 9S and A2 took, since until recently an anime arrived.
