L’hourglass puzzle in the teaser of Assassin’s Creed Shadows was almost solved from the Access the Animus Twitter profile, always at the forefront when it comes to episodes of the famous Ubisoft series.
What are we talking about? When the date of the Assassin’s Creed Shadows trailer was announced yesterday, which we will be able to see tomorrow at 6.00 pm, the teaser published on Ubisoft’s social networks showed an hourglass with the logo of the new chapter in the middle of a Japanese street.
At the same time they appeared on the game’s official website of numbers and a list of ideograms to be used to translate the codes, the last of which is present on the left side at the base of the teaser hourglass.
There phrase in Japanese obtained by solving this puzzle refers to the Ubisoft newsletter in which Assassin’s Creed Shadows was announced, then to the game page on the Ubisoft Store and finally to the Facebook page.
The final code puzzle, which should reveal a web address, it hasn’t been resolved yet and there is the possibility that it can only be deciphered tomorrow, when the Assassin’s Creed Shadows trailer will provide the final piece of this puzzle.
Like in the times of the glyphs
Ubisoft’s nice idea to involve the Assassin’s Creed community closely resembles the tradition of glyphs which characterized the first episodes of the series, and which drew on Renaissance art in a fascinating way to give each image a precise meaning.
Who knows, maybe in the feudal Japan of Assassin’s Creed Shadows there will also be room for this type of puzzle and the related rewards, that is, a more in-depth look at the Isu civilization?
Maybe we will start to discover something tomorrow, when we will be able to see the first trailer of the new episode: as mentioned, the appointment is set for 6.00 pm.
