OpenAI democratizes AI: Presents ChatGPT-4o, a free and powerful version of its chatbot

Mexico.- OpenAI launched on Monday the most advanced version of its chatbot, ChatGPT-4owhich is now free and offers enhanced capabilities in text, vision and audio.

In an event broadcast over the internet, the chief technology officer of OpenAIMira Murati described this model as a “huge step forward” in ease of use.

CEO Sam Altman, through the social network It is “the best model to date” and highlighted its “multimodal” nature, underscoring its availability not only for premium users, but also for those on the free plan.

The significant update of this tool reflects the objective of OpenAI to democratize access to advanced artificial intelligence technologies.

“Until now, the GPT-4 class models They were only available to people who paid a monthly subscription. “This is important to our mission, we want to put great AI tools in everyone’s hands,” said Altman.

The launch event included live demos that showcased the chatbot’s ability to interact in real time and respond with a voice reminiscent of Spike Jonze’s movie “Her.”

ChatGPT-4o demonstrated his ability to “perceive emotion” of users, offer immediate responses even when interrupted, and handle tasks such as math problem solving via video and simultaneous language translation.

Murati also announced a new user interface and desktop app for ChatGPTfacilitating its integration into the daily work routine.
