Three individuals were arrested in the municipality of Tlalnepantla, State of Mexicounder the accusation of pretend to be police officersaccompanied by a fake patrolin an event that has shaken the town.
The Municipal Government of Tlalnepantla reported that during one of the routine patrols of the municipal police, the presence of a suspicious vehicle was detected at the intersection of Avenida Indeco and Avenida de Los Ejidos, in the Los Reyes Ixtacala neighborhood, first section.
How were the impostors unmasked?
Municipal agents observed a white Gol type car traveling at high speed with strobe lights on, a tactic commonly used by official Public Safety vehicles. What was even more suspicious was that It was escorted by two jump type motorcycles.
Despite the police’s attempts to stop them, the driver of the suspect vehicle and his companions did not comply with the order. This action began a persecution which spread along several avenues, culminating with the capture on Abasolo Street, in front of number 28, in the Miguel Hidalgo neighborhood.
Who were the fake police officers?
The individuals traveling in the false patrol were identified as Leonardo “N”, 18 years old, Diego Emilio “N”, 21 years old, and Ángel Jair “N”, 20 years old.
During the inspection of the vehicle, authorities discovered a clear plastic bag containing cocaine in the cup holder. Given this evidence, the three men were arrested and placed at the disposal of the Public Ministry to face charges for simulating an official vehicle and crimes against health, among others.
