The event occurred at 05:39 a.m., central time, today, May 12, leaving many citizens in uncertainty and in need of assistance.
In a press release, the Mexican Foreign Ministry expressed its concern about the situation of its compatriots on the border with Guatemala and announced that They will provide care at the Mexican embassy in Guatemalaas well as in the consulates located in Tecún Umán, Quetzaltenango and Petén.
