Among the many bad news that have rained on Xbox in recent days, at least there is a positive report regarding State of Decay 3which according to well-known journalist/leaker Jez Corden is coming up “very, very good”.
Corden had his say on the matter during the latest episode of the Xbox Two podcast, reporting that, based on his sources, State of Decay 3 is having a positive development and the game is in really good shape at the moment.
Obviously we cannot take the matter as completely reliable but Corden has already demonstrated in the past that he has good connections with the development environment of Xbox Game Studios, so he may know something concrete about it.
The issue also comes in response to the negative reports that have recently emerged about Perfect Dark, which instead isn’t doing very well, according to what another journalist/leaker, in this case Jeff Grubb, reported.
Will State of Decay 3 show up at the Xbox Game Showcase?
“I know Jeff Grubb said Perfect Dark isn’t doing well,” Corden said on the podcast, but for my part, I hear State of Decay 3 is turning out very, very well and looks really good. ‘I’ll wait,’ he said.
In fact, since the first presentation now years ago with a teaser trailer which was however entirely in computer graphics, we have not had any updates on State of Decay 3, nor have we had the opportunity to see it, so the mystery remains about the situation of the game in development at Undead Labs.
According to some rumors, there is the possibility that the game will be shown at the Xbox Showcase in June, which in fact was further reiterated a few days ago, with State of Decay 3 which could be present together with Gears 6 and more titles at the June 9, 2024 event.
What we know is that the title in question is developed on Unreal Engine 5 and it seems that The Coalition also supported Undead Labs in the development, as experts on the engine in question.
