Gundam Breaker 4, the new chapter in the hack and slash looter franchise, will launch on August 29, 2024. The game, developed by Crafts & Meister Co., Ltd, will be available in digital format for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 platforms and PC through Steam. The game promises an advanced level of customization, per tradition of the series, allowing players to not only modify the size of each individual part of their Gundam, but also to choose their own set of colors based on their preferences or on their favorite Gundam model . Players will also be able to explore these details in the new trailer released, which also shows the presence of SD Gundam.
In terms of gameplay, Gundam Breaker 4 offers the possibility of fighting enemies both alone and in the company of two friends in cooperative multiplayer mode. The game reconnects with the roots of the franchise, allowing players to assemble the Gunpla of their dreams from a wide range of mobile suits and components, enriched by a new diorama mode that adds an additional level of immersion. Gundam Breaker 4 is now available to pre-order in Standard, Deluxe and Ultimate versions for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PC via Steam, with pre-orders for the Nintendo Switch version scheduled for a later launch. Purchasers who pre-order will receive exclusive bonuses, including early unlocking of RX-78 Gundam Recirculation Color and Builders Parts.
The Deluxe Edition includes a season pass and exclusive parts for the Gunbarrel Strike Gundam (Gundam Breaker Ver.), as well as an early unlock of 15 Gunpla parts. The Ultimate Edition, in addition to the contents of the Deluxe, enriches the offer with Diorama Packs and a bonus set of dioramas. For collectors, an exclusive Collector Edition will be available sold through the Bandai Namco Store. This edition includes the Ultimate version of the game, a limited edition Gunbarrel Strike Gundam (GUNDAM BREAKER ver.) Gunpla model, the digital soundtrack and a steelbook.
The launch of Gundam Breaker 4 coincides with the celebration of the 45th anniversary of the Mobile Suit Gundam franchise, created by Sunrise Inc. First launched in 1979 with the TV series of the same name, the franchise is known for its gigantic mechs and science fiction and military plots. Over the decades, Gundam has expanded its universe with over 50 television series, films, OVAs and a vast range of merchandise, including Gunpla, assembleable plastic models of mobile suits.
