While traveling on busy Limas Street, the heavy unit, loaded with more than 10,000 liters of water, became trapped in a huge sinkhole that opened in the pavement.
The incident, which surprised residents and passersby alike, left the truck with its right rear tires sunk in the hole, making it impossible to move.
In this situation, the driver had to resort to the support of a high-tonnage crane to free the vehicle from its dangerous position.
However, the task of rescuing the pipe was not an easy task. It took not only the power of the crane, but also the intervention of heavy machinery to carefully remove some of the concrete and dirt surrounding the sinkhole, thus allowing safe access to the vehicle and its eventual recovery.
According to local authorities, the sinkhole, with a depth exceeding one meter, was the direct result of a leak in the drainage system.
The constant seepage of water gradually weakened the soil, creating conditions conducive to the formation of the hole.
This negligence in the maintenance of road infrastructure, experts warn, not only caused this incident, but also represents a latent danger to the safety of local residents and drivers traveling through the area.
