Alleged information about Microsoft’s strategies and the Xbox division continues to leak. According to The Verge’s sources, the company is internally discussing a possible price increase of the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate service and of do not include Call of Duty in the service.
Tom Warren of The Verge in particular states that for some time now the management has been evaluating whether or not to include the next Call of Duty games in the catalogue, with those against worried that the pharaonic revenues of the series are compromised precisely by the Game Passwhich, if confirmed, would once again call into question the actual economic sustainability of the service.
As mentioned at the beginning, a price increase for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is also under discussion, the level with the most benefits currently available for 14.99 euros per month. Warren specifies that at the moment nothing has really been decided, so Microsoft could very well decide not to impose any price increases, or to do so and publish Call of Duty only in the Ultimate tier, thus justifying the price increase and encouraging players to upgrade to the more expensive tier.
